AFTER appearing on-stage at a Nelly concert, Amanda Berry, kidnapped and held by Ariel Castro for a decade, is now in negotiations to start her own music festival. The bill will exclusively consist of acts who haven’t had a significant hit since 2003.
“She made me feel incredible.” claimed Nelly “It was humbling to be in the presence of someone who doesn’t know that I’m not one of the biggest acts on the planet anymore.”
As well as Nelly, the upcoming ‘Berry-Fest’ will feature a multitude of other acts that used to be big and now aren’t, including Avril Lavigne, Chingy, Uncle Kracker and Michelle Branch.
Berry spoke highly of her newfound friend. “He has no idea how often his songs used to get stuck in my head down there. It actually got quite annoying. When you’re singing the chorus to ‘Ride With Me’ 300 times a day things start to get a little bit crazy.”
“To be honest it was actually Nelly Furtardo I wanted to meet but I just don’t have the heart to tell him.”
Berry-Fest will be making its way around the world soon. Much like the lineup itself, attendance is expected to be underwhelming.
Berry couldn’t be happier. “It’s amazing the opportunities that have been thrown my way since I was rescued. I was even offered a fragrance of my own, but they insisted on calling it ‘Frantic Escape’, so I politely declined. I remember what that smelled like, and it’s not worth bottling.”
